From the CPS Magnet Website: "The Technology Magnet Cluster Program (TMCP) is the newest programmatic inititiative within the Office of Academic Enhancement. The goals of the Technology Magnet Cluster Program are to: (1) develop students' 21st century and digital media skills; (2) increase student achievement in core subject areas such as mathematics, science, and language arts; and (3) create new and exciting high-quality options for students and parents in the the Chicago Public Schools. These goals will be accomplished through: (a) high-quality, sustained, and differentiated professional development for both teachers and administrators; (b) opportunities for collaboration, reflection and the sharing of best practices within and between schools; (c) access to technology partners, resources, and projects that capitalize on student interests and learning styles; and (d) lead teacher positions at each school that are responsible for developing and implementing the program."
